Vinyl Decal Application Instructions

Before you start: Choose a smooth, non-porous surface (e.g. glass, laptop, plastic). For best results, avoid applying in extreme heat or cold.

  1. Clean the Surface: Wipe the area with rubbing alcohol or soapy water and let it dry completely. Do not use Windex/glass cleaner, as it leaves a residue that prevents sticking.

  2. Prep the Decal: Lay the decal on a flat surface. Rub a credit card or your thumbnail firmly over the clear transfer tape to make sure the vinyl is "gripping" it.

  3. Peel the Backing: Slowly peel the white paper backing away at a sharp angle. The vinyl should stay attached to the clear transfer tape.

    • If a piece of vinyl stays on the paper, lay it back down and rub that spot again.

  4. Position & Stick: Align your decal and carefully place it onto your clean surface.

  5. Smooth it Out: Use a credit card to rub the design firmly from the center outward to push out any air bubbles.

  6. Remove the Tape: Peel the clear transfer tape back slowly at a 180-degree angle (flat against the surface). If the vinyl starts to lift, just press it back down and rub again!

  7. Tip: For large decals, use a piece of masking tape to hold the top in place like a hinge before peeling the backing.
